Delete your HOP account

You can delete your HOP account and ask us to delete your personal data at any time. There are two ways: in the app, or by email.

Option 1: In the app

Steps. Open the HOP app (rider or driver), go to Edit profile, tap Delete account, then confirm.

Option 2: By email

Steps. Email privacy@hopbahamas.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will use the details in your message to find your account.

What is deleted

Deleted. Your profile and account details, your push notification settings, your HOP sign-in, and the voice messages you sent in trip chat.

What we keep

Kept. Trip records and financial transaction data are kept for a minimum of seven (7) years for tax and compliance purposes. Text chat messages are part of the trip record and are kept with it.

How long it takes

Timeframe. Our Privacy Policy (section 4.1) says account data is retained for thirty (30) days following account deletion, after which it is permanently purged from active systems.
